Video Styles

In order to make everything simpler and clearer, we’re asking creatives to stick to a few models.

Once things are more established, we hope to fund bigger productions.

Until then, look through below at the styles we’re currently funding.

One-Minute Documentary

The one minute videos consist of a one person interview interspersed with B-Rolls of what they are talking about. See below for funding limits.

Specifics:

  • 3-5 minutes of interview footage.
  • 3-5 minutes of unique B-Roll footage.
  • Separate audio (meaning you need a microphone)
  • Use these footage to create the 60 second documentary
  • Out of the 60 sec video, individual clip length will be between 2-4 seconds. This means every 2-4 seconds, there will be a new clip displayed.
  • Out of the 15-30 clips, only one will have the interviewee speaking to the camera.
  • The remainder will have B-Rolls shown, while the interviewee is speaking over the clips.

Our Resources page provides a tutorial for this along with more advanced ones.

5-7 Minute Documentary

The short videos format will consist of 2-3 person interviews interspersed with B-Rolls of what they are talking about. See below for funding limits.

Specifics

  • 10 minutes of interview footage
  • 10 minutes of unique B-Roll footage
  • Use these footage to create the 5-7 minute documentary
  • Out of the 5-7 minutes video, individual clip length will be between 5-10 seconds. This means every 5-10 seconds, there will be a new clip displayed.
  • The video will be alternating between the different interviewees and B-Rolls.
  • It’s best to have multiple angles for interviews

Short STory

This will be a bit more complex and can be discussed directly.

At the very least, creatives will need to have demonstrated a certain level of skill set as videographer.

Funding Amounts

In order to be consistent, we have set amount for funding for each style.

  • One-Minute Documentary
  • 5-7 Minute Documentary
  • $50-75 USD
